For learners under 13, accounts are created and managed by a parent or teacher. We collect the minimum data needed to run lessons and never require personal details from children directly.
FERPA Aligned
Student education records belong to the school and family. Teachers and districts control who can see progress data, and records are handled as confidential under FERPA expectations.
GDPR Compliant
For families and schools in the EU, EEA, and UK, we apply each country's digital-consent age, require parental consent below it, and protect international transfers with Standard Contractual Clauses. Users can export or erase their data at any time.
PIPEDA Compliant
For Canadian families and schools, we follow federal PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25: we collect only what is necessary, state our purposes at collection, and require parent or guardian consent for students under 14.
One Standard, Worldwide
Learners outside these regions get the same protections, not a weaker version: minimal data collection, parent or guardian consent for younger students, no advertising, and the right to export or delete their data at any time.
